Spaces About Electrical Equipment

If your hot tub installation lacks adequate working space, a technician may decline to offer any services until adequate access and working space is provided.

This hot tub has removable panels that provide access to the full width of the equipment area with unblocked access to all the electrical equpment.

Hot tub in a deck with a removable deck section

The deck surrounding this hot tub has removable sections that allow access to the control box below and the control panel above and meets the code requirements for workspace height when deck sections are removed.

The equipment area of your portable hot tub must be fully accessible for working on live electrical circuits as defined CA Electric Code.

Many modern hot tubs have two, three or even four pumps installed in different locations so you may have to provide adequate access on all four sides of the tub especially in swim spas.
